Covina Villa Retirement Home Visitation

In February of each year, West Covina Buddhist Temple's Sunday Schoolers make their annual visitation to the senior citizens at the Covina Villa Retirement Home, located within a mile or so of WCBT itself.

Here's a shot of the group arriving in the Covina Villa Retirement Home parking lot.

Once inside, Dharma School Superintendent Diane Hata (in front of door) and Assistant Superintendent Merry Jitosho confer on the logistics of the visit.

One of the first orders of business was laying out the nice Valentine placemats, which the Dharma Schoolers had made for the seniors.

The students enjoyed the opportunity to give their colorful placemats to the seniors.

Here, Matthew Ormseth performs at the piano.

Cora Ormseth also performed nicely.

Chandler and Kailyn Kikunaga performed several pieces for the seniors on their guitars, such as "Tequila," "Barcelona Nights," and "Yesterday."

Above, a Covina Villa senior enjoys the performances, as dad Tor Ormseth proudly watches.

WCBT's Dharma Schoolers were very much appreciated by the residents of the Covina Villa Retirement Home!
